MISSION STATEMENT
Fairfax Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable and educational organization committed to providing supplementary support to the Fairfax County Public Library. The Foundation, while reinforcing the need for continued and increased public support for the Library, serves as a catalyst for attracting private funding from individuals, businesses, organizations and foundations to enhance library services for our community.

WHAT WE DO

Since 1994, the Fairfax Library Foundation has existed solely with the mission to enhance programs and services of the Fairfax County Public Library, the largest public library system in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Foundation provides supplementary support for the library to more positively impact the lives of over 1 million residents living in our community by providing access to information, technology, innovations, civic engagement and entertainment, and by offering literacy and educational opportunities.

From the Literacy Charm, which donates 50% of sales to organizations that support literacy nationwide, to raising funds locally for The Fairfax Library Foundation, Kendra Scott is excited to celebrate International Women's Day with a focus on female authors! Shop to get party-ready for April 18th at the 2020 Fairfax Foundation Jubilee: Clue'd into the Library!

Funds raised at the Jubilee are used to help the library expand its reach to children and adults in every corner of our community. Attendees play a direct role in enhancing library programs and services, and gain exposure to the values of the library and its role in an educated, civilized society.
